The Southern Pirate Festival is 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Oct. 23 in the National Civil War Naval Museum at Port Columbus, 1002 Victory Drive.
It's held by Port Columbus, the Pirates of the Chattahoochee (the local pirate crew) and various pirate groups.
Two new crews, the Cursed Few and the Cutthroat Titans, have joined in the fun.
Besides the festival, the Second annual Dead Buccaneers' Ball will begin at the museum after the festival. It's a Halloween costume ball.
Tickets for the museum are $5-$6.50. The festival is $15; the ball is $25 and both are $40. The festival fee includes camping, parking, museum admission and pirates-only activities.
