Local Muslims to speak for 'Come Meet a Muslim' event at library

"Come Meet a Muslim" is the topic of a presentation and discussion at 6 p.m. Oct. 27 at the Columbus Public Library, 3000 Macon Road.

It will feature the following local followers of Islam: Farhad AliFarhani, an engineer for the city of Columbus; Azra Khan, a pharmacist; Yahya Islam, a Columbus imam and businessman; Sherry AliFarhani, an IT manager at Troy University; and Nizam Khan, a teacher.

The event is sponsored by the One Columbus Dialogue Group. It will feature a screening of the film, "The Muslims I Know," produced by Mara Ahmed. It will attempt to answer the question: Where are the moderate Muslims?
