Artist talks about her work in the craft of marquetry

Alison Elizabeth Taylor, a Brooklyn-based artist talks about her work in the Renaissance craft of marquetry Thursday. Taylor will speak at 7:15 p.m. in Carpenters Hall at the corner of Ninth Street and Broadway.

Taylor, who is originally from Selma, creates scenes with wood veneers and other materials in a contemporary manner. She has shown her work internationally.

Her lecture is part of the Columbus State University department of art's artist lecture series.
