Ceremony to honor 1st African-American students at the University of Alabama

On Nov. 3 the University of Alabama will pay tribute to the first three African-American students to enroll at the school.

The school will pay tribute to Autherine Lucy Foster, James Hood and the late Vivian Malone Jones.

There will be a dedication of the Malone-Hood Plaza and Autherine Lucy Clock Tower at Foster Auditorium.

There will be a public celebration at 2 p.m. CDT in the Malone-Hood Plaza.
