Man exposes himself to students walking to school Wednesday morning

A man allegedly exposed himself to several middle school students walking to school this morning, school officials said.

Communications director Valerie Fuller sent out a message about the incident, which occurred this morning at the Cusseta Road and Martin Luther King Blvd railroad crossing.

The suspect was described as a black man, between 20 and 30 years old and standing about five-feet-seven-inches high. He had a bald head and was wearing a white and blue collar shirt, jeans and tan-colored Timberland boots.

Fuller said principals were notifying parents in the area of the incident and asking them to speak with their children to make them aware of the suspect's description.

The district is also encouraging children to walk in groups, not to talk to strangers, and to report any suspicious activity or crime to school officials or police as safety is priority.
