Memorial service for the Rev. Chidi Osondu is Tuesday in Columbus

A memorial service for the Rev. Chidi Ezennia Osondu, whose first assignment as a priest was at St. Anne Catholic Church, is 6 p.m. Tuesday at St. Anne, 2000 Kay Circle.

Osondu, 37, died Nov. 14 in New Delhi, India, from complications of rejecting a transplanted kidney.

He will be buried Dec. 17 in Nigeria, his home.

Osondu was parochial vicar, or priest associate, at St. Anne from 2005-2006.

Following that assignment, he was parochial vicar of St. James Church in Savannah, where a memorial Mass begins at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.
