'Blondie' cartoonist honored by LaGrange College
"Blondie" cartoonist Dean Young was recently honored by LaGrange College.
Young was given the Walter Malcolm Shackelford Distinguished Alumnus Award.
Young received a degree in business from LaGrange College in 1960.
When his father Chic Young died in 1963, Dean Young took over the production of the comic strip his dad created. It is currently carried in more than 2,500 newspapers worldwide.
Talking to students about choosing a career, Young told them "it's real important to love what you do."
