Tracy Rocker has talked to the Tennessee Titans about becoming the NFL team's defensive line coach.
New Titans coach Mike Munchak told WJOX radio in Birmingham this morning that the team had spoken to Rocker and was "real excited about him."
"Obviously, he's done a great job as a player and now he's worked his way up through the ranks of coaching, and he's coming off a national championship at Auburn. He'd be a great fit for any organization," Munchak said. "We need a great defensive line coach, and he'd fit that bill, so I'm very much interested in him."
Rocker, who won the Outland Trophy and Lombardi Award in 1988 as a player for Auburn, returned to his alma mater as a coach when Gene Chizik initially put together his staff in 2009.
Chizik has yet to lose a member of that original staff.
