Columbus courts: 2 women accused of threatening man with child molestation accusations indicted

Two women accused of trying to extort money from a man who allegedly had sex with their underage daughters were indicted Tuesday.

The Phenix City women, ages 33 and 36, each face a charge of attempt to commit theft by extortion. They’re accused of threatening John Przenkop, 44, with child molestation accusations on Feb. 23, 2010, unless he paid them a total of $7,000, authorities state.

They’re also accused of agreeing to take his money in exchange for staying silent and then confronting him about not paying, records state.

Przenkop faces charges of aggravated child molestation, sexual exploitation of a child, enticing a child for indecent purposes and pandering. He’s pleaded not guilty. Police allege he contacted the girls through an online social networking site and paid for sexual acts.

Przenkop allegedly became acquainted with the girls on MySpace, where one of the girls listed her age as 18 and the other as 100, according to Columbus Recorder’s Court testimony.

In court, police said there is a video of Przenkop having sex with the girls.

Przenkop was arrested March 12, 2010. He has not yet been indicted.

The girls pleaded guilty in April 2010 to prostitution in Columbus Juvenile Court, though they were sentenced by a Russell County judge.
