The intersection of Fifth Avenue and Talbotton Road is flooding badly, Columbus dispatch said.
The crossroads is the only spot in town currently reported to be flooding. Phenix City dispatch has received no reports of flooding.
The National Weather Service says there's a 100 percent chance of rain today.
The storm currently moving through the Chattahoochee Valley will continue into the afternoon. Expect winds and heavy rain, with some gusts reaching 25 mph. One to 2 inches of rain is expected.
The high will be around 70.
