Columbus courts: Homeless man accused of child molestation indicted

A homeless man accused of child molestation was indicted Tuesday.

Dwayne Cullins, 21, is a suspect in a Sept. 19 incident at Farley Homes on Nina Street, police said.

According to reports, officers responded to an argument at the housing complex at 10:30 a.m. They were told that the suspect broke a man’s apartment window after an argument.

Police said the argument was because the man’s 9-year-old stepdaughter had said the suspect inappropriately touched her. Officers spoke to the girl’s mother, who told police her daughter gave her a detailed description about what the suspect allegedly did to her.

Officers then arrested the suspect and charged him with child molestation.

Cullins is being held under no bond, the Muscogee County Jail said.
