Columbus weather: Warm, breezy week ahead; high today 81

Columbus-area residents are in for a warm, sunny and sometimes breezy first week of spring, with chances of rain forecast Wednesday, Friday and Sunday.

Today's to be mostly sunny with a high of 81 and a 5-10 mph southeast wind turning southwest and gusting up to 15 mph, says the National Weather Service. Tonight it's to be partly cloudy with a low of 55 and a 5 mph west wind turning calm.

Here's the forecast for the rest of the week:

Sunny Tuesday, high 84, wind turning west at 10 and 15 mph, gusting up to 20 mph. Partly cloudy Tuesday night, low 58, west wind at 5 mph turning calm.

Mostly sunny Wednesday, high 80, wind turning west at 15-20 mph, gusting up to 25 mph. A 20 percent chance of showers that night, partly cloudy, low 60.

Mostly sunny Thursday, high 78. Mostly clear that night, low 48.

Sunny Friday, high 77. A 20 percent chance of showers that night, partly cloudy, low 54.

Partly sunny Saturday, high 80. Mostly cloudy that night, low 58.

A 30 percent chance of showers Sunday, partly sunny, high 80.
