Columbus police: Woman accused of stabbing husband in chest; no serious injuries

Columbus police charged a woman early Saturday with aggravated assault after she stabbed her husband in the chest, reports state.

Sabrina Shine, 46, has since made her $2,5000 bond, Muscogee County Jail records state.

Police say that the suspect grew upset around 1 a.m. because she thought her husband had lied about his whereabouts for the past two days. At some point, their disagreement became violent and she grabbed a steak knife and stabbed him multiple times in the chest.

The husband also gained scratches on his arms when he tried to take the knife away from his wife, police said.

Reports state the man refused medical treatment, and that his injuries are not life threatening.
