The first MidTown Mingle is April 28

The first MidTown Mingle is a fundraiser for MidTown Inc. from 6:30-10:30 p.m. April 28. Organizers hope to show off the area's diversity.

The Mingle will features dining opportunities for people with various budgets.

The reservation deadline is April 15; tickets are $10-$125.

"An Evening of Fine Dining and Exceptional Wines at Meritage" is the highest-priced ticket at $125. Owner Faye Simmons will create a five-course dinner. Special guest Susan Selby of Selby Winery will offer her wines for various courses.

"Buford Visits the Village" features Buford King's tenderloin dinner for $75. There will be two seatings at 6:30 p.m. and 8 p.m. Shannon Croft, fine wine manager of Atlanta Wholesale Wine will serve wine selections with the dinner.

"Casual Fare at Locos Grill and Pub" is $25 and features your choice of a chicken sandwich, burger or grilled chicken salad and beer or wine from United Distributors.

The Mingle general admission is $10 for cash food and bar featuring Country's Barbecue, Locos wings and burgers, treats from the Ice Cream Girl, Callaway Blue Springs Wate and B&B Beverage Co.

There will also be music, including Peggy Jenkins with the Bizness, Larry Rose, Eddie Robinson and Bob Rumer.

MidTown businesses will create MidTown Baskets for a raffle. Each raffle ticket is $10. Baskets include cupcakes to Pilates to home cleaning to a children's summer camp.

MidTown Inc. hopes to raise $50,000 for its mission to sustain and enhance the MidTown area.
