Two air conditioners worth $15,000 were damaged at Rose Hill United Methodist Church, to obtain about $250 worth of copper, according to the Rev. Lamar Harper, the pastor.

The church was without air conditioning this past Sunday. The sanctuary was affected, as well as the children's wing. Rose Hill is on Hamilton Road.

The air conditioners were probably hit in the past week, Harper guessed.

For the time being, people will worship in the rotunda.

"It's going to be a slow process," said Harper, who has filed a police report and will wait to hear if insurance will replace the units.
