Columbus police: Thieves strike at least eight cars in Castlewood

Thieves broke into at least eight cars early Sunday on Castlewood Parkway, doing hundreds of dollars in damage and taking close to $2,000 in property, police report.

Among the items police said were taken were a 20-ounce silver ingot valued at $700 and two Glock handguns valued at $600 apiece.

One victim told police she discovered her car’s front passenger window smashed, but nothing missing from her car, police said. She also noticed two dents on that side of the car.

Police have no suspects, but are continuing their investigation.
