A new FastTrac NewVenture business program is now taking shape.
The 10-session program, which begins 9 a.m. Sept. 22, will be held at Columbus State University’s Cunningham Conference Center, 3100 Gentian Blvd. Each session lasts three hours.
The carrot now being offered is a $300 scholarship to offset the $495 enrollment fee. It is available to the first 20 businesses that are accepted in the program, according to Lori Auten, area director of the University of Georgia Small Business Development Center. She said four businesses have already signed up.
The SBDC and the Greater Columbus Chamber of Commerce is offering FastTrac, which is targeted toward small businesses less than three years old and entrepreneurs planning new ventures.
FastTrac offers help with strategic planning, marketing research, cash flow analysis, business plans, building infrastructure and management tools. It also includes individual consultation and access to a network of fellow business people.
For more information or to register, contact the SBDC at 706-569-2651.
