Columbus police: CSU student robbed while walking home

A Columbus State University student was robbed by a bicycle-riding suspect while walking home late Sunday, reports state.

The 28-year-old was at Second Avenue and Eighth Street on his way home from studying at the college when the suspect rode up on a bicycle around 11:15 p.m. The suspect said he had a gun and took $40 in cash from the student, police said.

Reports state no one was injured in the robbery.

The suspect is a black man, 25- to 40-years-old and 5-foot-8 to 6-foot, police said.
