TSYS renews contract with merchant processor Clearent

Credit-card processor TSYS has renewed its contract with merchant-processing company Clearent LLC.

The deal, announced Wednesday, calls for Columbus-based TSYS to handle authorizations and payment services for Clearent’s merchant clients. Terms of the agreement were not released.

Clearent is experiencing triple-digit growth, said TSYS, a global credit card and electronic payment processor. It does business in 85 countries in North and Latin America, Europe and the Asia-Pacific region.
