'Season of a Lifetime' featuring Coach Jeremy Williams premieres Oct. 1

Edgewood Baptist Church, 3564 Forrest Road, presents the Columbus Premier of “Season of a Lifetime: The Jeremy Williams Story” at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 1.

The film chronicles the 2009 season of the Greenville High School Patriots football teamthat fought to pursue the Georgia state championship as Coach Jeremy Williams foughtto cope with his debilitating illness, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), also known as LouGehrig’s Disease.

Williams is from Columbus and was a well-known high school and college football star.

Williams and his family are members of Edgewood.

The Williams family was featured on the May 15, 2010 Season Finale of ABC’s ExtremeHome Makeover television program.

Tickets are $10 and will be available at the door. This event will benefit the ALS Association and Jeremy Williams.

“Season of a Lifetime” was directed and produced by award-winning Georgia filmmakerRick Cohen, of Endorphin Entertainment, in association with FishEye MediaProductions.
