Columbus weather: No sleet or freezing rain for Columbus; just a rainy Valentine's Day

Sleet and freezing rain could be a problem in other parts of Georgia, but it won't be an issue in the Columbus area, said WRBL Chief Meteorologist Bob Jeswald.

It will, however, rain through midday. Skies will be cloudy with highs around 52.

It'll be mostly cloudy tonight, when lows will dip to about 40.

Clouds will hang around for the first part of Wednesday and then skies will become mostly sunny. Highs will jump to 70.

It'll be mostly cloudy Wednesday night. Lows will be about 55.

Temperatures will soar again Thursday, when highs are expected to return to about 70. There will be some scattered showers, which will end by Thursday night. Look for lows of 46 that evening.
