Want to get in shape for spring?
The February Couch to 5K program begins tonight at 6 p.m. at Lakebottom Park. Participants spend 9-10 weeks training to run a 5K, or 3.1 miles.
The training program is free and meets every Tuesday and Thursday at 6 p.m. at the park off Cherokee Avenue.
Participants in the 9 week program are encouraged to sign up for the Celebrity Classic 5K on April 14. Those in the 10 week program are encouraged to sign up for the Midtown Classic on April 21. There is a entry fee associated with each of these races.
