Columbus police: Man reports Chinese barbecued chicken wings still had feathers on them

A man staying Sunday at a Victory Drive motel found his Chinese barbecued chicken way too fresh, Columbus police reported.

The dissatisfied diner said his chicken wings still had feathers on them.

Officers called about 4:30 p.m. to the Columbus Inn at 3170 Victory Drive met 24-year-old Courtney Bennett of Clover Avenue, who told them he had ordered Chinese food, and "when he opened the box for his BBQ whole chicken wings he noticed the chicken still had feathers on it," said a police report titled "Report of bad food," which added, "Mr. Bennett stated that he called the restaurant back and they refused to give him his money back or cook him different chicken wings."

He told police "the food just did not look good to eat" and he wanted his $26 back.

"Nothing further at this time," the report concluded.
