Brookstone has hired Brad Dehem as its new varsity football coach. Dehem, 36, has been an assistant coach at Wesleyan School in Atlanta since 2005 and has been the offensive coordinator since 2006.
He'll bring his pro-style offense with him to Columbus.
"We'll have multiple formations and multiple groups," Dehem said Wednesday from Atlanta. "We'll run when we can. We'll throw when we can. Our game plan each week is going to be dependent on the matchups that we have and the personnel we'll be seeing."
Dehem has been around small, independent football programs for most of his life. He's a graduate of First Presbyterian Day School in Macon at coached at taught at the school as well. He's a graduate of the University of Georgia.
Dehem teaches math at Wesleyan and will do the same at Brookstone.
His first chance to get on the field with Brookstone will be during spring practice on May 14-18.
