Thieves took 22 water heaters from Fourth Street Towers earlier this month, costing the apartments thousands of dollars, Columbus police said.
Reports state the theft happened between March 2-5, though it wasn’t reported to police until Wednesday. A construction crew at the 502 Second Ave. towers told an employee that walls in each apartment were damaged. Police later learned that every water heater was missing.
Police say $18,700 in water heaters were taken, and that $15,800 in damage was done.
