Columbus police: CSU student who lives downtown robbed blocks away from home

A CSU student who lives downtown was robbed over the weekend just blocks away from his home.

The 23-year-old student was near Eighth Street and Second Avenue about 2:30 a.m. Sunday when he was approached by two suspects. The student was threatened with a knife and robbed of a $600 Louis Vuitton wallet, a $700 iPad and a $400 Tiffany necklace, reports state.

The student was uninjured. He reported the theft two days later, police said.

Both suspects are black men in their mid-20s. One was 5-foot-8. The other was 6-foot-3, reports state.
