A Columbus man was beaten and robbed late Wednesday as he walked through a bank parking lot, police said.
The 32-year-old was in the Wells Fargo parking lot, 18th Street and 10th Avenue, about 11:10 p.m. when the suspect approached and punched him in the face.
The victim fought back, but the suspect punched about three more times. The victim fell to the ground, and the suspect grabbed his wallet with $15 in it and ran from the area, police said.
The man had abrasions to his forehead, nose and the right side of his face, police said.

The suspect is an 18- to 30-year-old man of an unknown race. He is about 6-foot-1, wore dark, baggy clothing and had a dark complexion, reports state.
