Police find screaming woman at intersection, arrested on drug charges

A screaming woman found Monday by police at an intersection was arrested on drug charges, reports state.

Cristin Shay Armstrong, 24, was charged with two counts of Violation of the Georgia Controlled Substance Act and one count each of possession of drug related objects and giving false information, police said.

An officer spotted Armstrong about 5:30 p.m. Monday at 30th Street and 14th Avenue. She was yelling and screaming and appeared to be under the influence of a drug, reports state.

Police say they asked Armstrong for permission to search her purse. She agreed, and an officer found crystal meth and methadone hydrocloride, along with a needle.

Armstrong initially gave officers a false name and had no ID to match.

Armstrong was then arrested.
