A driver who struck two concrete dividers on J.R. Allen Parkway late Saturday was charged with DUI, Columbus police said.
Michael Skipper, 32, also faces charges of driving while his license was suspended, failure to maintain lane and going too fast for conditions, reports state.
Police say Skipper was driving east on J.R. Allen, near Second Avenue, about 11:50 p.m. Saturday when he struck the concrete barrier on the right side of the road. His Nissan Altima then went across both lanes of traffic and hit the concrete barrier on the left side.
Skipper had a strong odor of alcohol on him. An ambulance took Skipper to The Medical Center, where he agreed to give a blood sample, reports state.
