Robbers burst into LaGrange man’s apartment

Two gunmen burst into a LaGrange man’s apartment early Wednesday, taking his TV and cell phone before leaving, police said.

The home invasion happened about 1:20 a.m. on Bridgewood Drive. The resident had just finished smoking a cigarette outside and was about to close his door after stepping inside his apartment when the suspects approached, reports state.

The two armed suspects forced their way inside before the resident closed his door. They demanded cash and then started going through the apartment when the resident told them he had no money. The suspects then took a TV and cell phone and left the area, police said.

Both suspects are black men who were armed. There is no further description.
