A man walking down the street holding a leaf blower led LaGrange police to make an arrest early Thursday, reports state.
Willie Lee Stevenson, of LaGrange is charged with burglary and obstruction of an officer after police spotted him walking down Jarboe Street about 12:20 a.m. Thursday, a release states.
According to reports, officers saw Stevenson walking down the street holding a leaf blower. Considering the hour and several burglaries in the area involving the theft of lawn equipment, the officers tried to talk to Stevenson.
Police say that’s when Stevenson dropped the leaf blower and ran. Officers formed a perimeter and later caught Stevenson, who was taken to the police station for questioning. Officers then determined the leaf blower was stolen and they charged Stevenson.
