Man stopped for no seat belt, found with almost 2 ounces of pot

A man stopped Wednesday morning for not wearing his seat belt was found with almost 2 ounces of marijuana, reports state.

Tony A. Spivey faces charges of possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute, possession of a drug related object, having an expired driver’s license and a seat belt violation, police said.

An officer stopped Spivey’s car about 10 a.m. Wednesday on Interstate 185, just south of Williams Road, because he saw Spivey without a seat belt. During the traffic stop, the officer found almost 2 ounces of marijuana on Spivey, a large digital weighing scale and a box of clear, plastic bags, reports state.
