Man seen leaving park after hours busted for traffic violations, pot

A man spotted leaving Cooper Creek Park early Saturday was busted for traffic and drug violations, Columbus police said.

Wilson Davenport Jr., 21, is charged with possession of marijuana, no proof of insurance, driving while his license was suspended and being in a park after hours, reports state.

Police say an officer saw Davenport leave the park about 12:45 a.m. His Honda Accord was stopped, and an officer smelled marijuana coming from the vehicle.The officer then found some marijuana in the center console, reports state.
