Man shot in hand at Eagles Trace Apartments

A man was shot in the hand late Monday at Eagles Trace Apartments over an argument about someone leaning a car, Columbus police said.

The shooting happened about 10:30 p.m. at the 2001 Torch Hill Road apartments, said Capt. Renee McAneny.

A group of men were standing outside near Building 34 arguing about someone leaning up against another person’s car, said Lt. Bill Orlich.

“There were some words exchanged,” Orlich added. “Then all of a sudden gunfire erupted.”

The victim was struck in the left hand, Orlich said. Police are searching for four suspects in connection with the shooting.
