A driver who fled a weekend hit-and-run was later found to have a suspended driver’s license, Columbus police said.
Kevin Richard Armstrong, 29, is charged with hit-and-run, driving while his license was suspended, no proof of insurance and a red light violation, reports state.
According to police, Armstrong ran a red light about 2 p.m. Saturday at Manchester Expressway and River Road. Armstrong collided with another vehicle, causing multiple injuries, and then ran from the area.
Police say they caught Armstrong after a chase and then learned his driver’s license was suspended.
