A mother was arrested Tuesday morning after police found her child wandering in a school parking lot, reports state.

Kertredia L. Boyd, 26, is charged with reckless conduct, driving while her license was suspended and no proof of insurance, police said.

Police say they responded to a report of a child wandering the parking lot of Columbus Technical College, 928 Manchester Expressway, about 10:35 a.m. Tuesday. Once officers arrived, they learned that the college’s security officers were searching for Boyd, the child’s mother.

Officers eventually found Boyd, who said she’d driven to the school and left the child in the car, police said.
