EYC will hold its spring arts reception on April 20

The Empowered Youth of Columbus (EYC) will hold its spring arts reception at 4:30 p.m. April 20 in Columbus State University's University Hall on main campus.

EYC students will present art and theater and music performances as part of Global Youth Service Day.

EYC is a collaborative effort between CSU's Continuing Education Division and the city of Columbus' Crime Prevention board.

The program serves students through community partnerships with Parks and Recreation department, the Boys and Girls Clubs of the Chattahoochee Valley, Muscogee Youth Development campus, Muscogee County School District and New Horizons Community Service Board Teen Clubhouse.

Students have been working with EYC instructors, professional artists and performers since January.

The performances and reception are free.
