Shoeless store patron arrested after cursing, refusing to leave

A shoeless store patron was arrested Wednesday afternoon after he cursed at another customer and refused to leave, Columbus police said.

Timothy Christopher Bragg, 39, was charged with disorderly conduct and obstruction of an officer at Family Dollar, 2121 Floyd Road, reports state.

According to police, officers responded about 1:30 p.m. Wednesday to a dispute at the store. When officers arrived, they learned that Bragg wasn’t wearing shoes and began cursing when asked to leave.

“Upon contact with Mr. Bragg he stated that he did not have to wear shoes because he was born in a jungle,” reports state.

Police say Bragg then began cursing at another customer as he moved toward her. He struggled with officers as they took him into custody, and was taken to The Medical Center before he was booked into the Muscogee County Jail.
