Police seek suspect in Wednesday robbery of Milgen Road Winn-Dixie

Columbus police are hunting for Jockas Sancheaz Gilchrist, wanted in Wednesday's armed robbery of the Milgen Road Winn-Dixie, where five men burst in about 10:45 p.m. and fired a weapon.

The suspect also is wanted in the Dec. 12, 2009, armed robbery of the CVS pharmacy on Hilton Avenue, police said.

They described Gilchrist as 5 feet 7 inches tall, weighing 170 pounds, with multiple tattoos, including one on the right side of his neck, "KSG, Fla" on his right forearm, "Nicole" on his right forearm, "Jockass" on his left forearm and "850" on his left forearm.

Police today said only one shot was fired inside the 5750 Milgen Road Winn-Dixie, and no one was hit.

Witnesses said the robbers were black men. They described one as 20-25 years old, 5 feet 8 inches tall, weighing 160 pounds and wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, black pants and black shoes, and another as 20-25 years old, 5 feet 6 inches tall, weighing 155 pounds, "kind of chunky," and wearing a white hooded sweatshirt, black pants and black shoes.

They said a third robber was 6 feet 1 inch tall, weighing 145-150 pounds and wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and black pants, and a fourth was 5 feet 9 or 10 inches tall, weighing 150-160 pounds and wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and tan shorts.

The robbers fled east on Milgen Road in a silver four-door Toyota Corolla with a sun roof, a spoiler and a small black antenna.

In the 2009 robbery of the CVS at 3617 Hilton Ave., one man entering the store at 4:40 a.m. kept his hand in his pocket and claimed to have a gun, though he never showed a weapon.

That same day, two men with handguns entered the 5600 Milgen Road CVS about 8:45 p.m. and got cash from the register, police said. The two wore black hooded sweatshirts and white gloves, witnesses said.
