2 men accused of trying to sell stolen A/C parts at recycling business

Columbus police arrested two men over the weekend on accusations they tried to sell stolen A/C parts at a recycling business.

Joseph Bane III, 40, and Moses Edward Robinson, 47, each face charges of theft by receiving stolen property and attempted theft by deception. Bane also is charged with giving a false statement of ownership, reports state.

Police say the men went to ABC Metal Recycling on Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard Saturday morning with $3,000 worth of air-conditioning parts. Bane signed a statement claiming ownership of the copper and tried to get $41.45 for the parts.

Police responded to the business when it was determined the parts were stolen, and both men were arrested, reports state.
