Columbus police say they arrested a man early Saturday after he tried to enter a Victory Drive club with a gun.
Belecario Maldonado, 40, was charged with carrying a concealed weapon, carrying a deadly weapon to a public gathering and carrying a pistol without a license, reports state.
According to police, Maldonado tried to walk inside Calientas, 3305 Victory Drive, about 1 a.m. Saturday without being completely searched. Officers were in the parking lot at the time, and they told Maldonado to step back outside. Maldonado was then searched by officers and found with a .38-caliber revolver in his left boot.
Police say they then arrested Maldonado and took him to the Muscogee County Jail.
