A man stopped for a traffic violation parked at his own home Monday afternoon before running from police, reports state.
Anthony Meredith, 20, is charged with driving while his license was suspended, obstruction of an officer and possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute, police said.
Reports state Meredith was pulled over about 3:15 p.m. Monday for a traffic violation. Meredith pulled into his Tupelo Drive home, got out of the car and ran from officers. Police then saw Meredith throw something to the ground.
Officers caught Meredith and then discovered he’d thrown $215 worth of marijuana to the ground, police said.
