Police investigate attempted rape at Carver Park

Columbus police are investigating an attempted rape at Carver Park, reports state.

Police say the attempted rape happened about 9 p.m. Tuesday at the 6665 Hunter Road park. A 21-year-old woman was in the parking lot of Carver Park when the suspect approached, pulled a knife and tried to cut her.

The woman escaped with minor scratches on both her arms. She then called police from her home to report the incident, reports state.

Police say the suspect is a black man in his mid-30s. He’s 5-fooot-9 and 130 pounds. He wore a dark blue polo shirt, black jeans and black shoes.
