Man carjacked outside convenience store

A man lost more than $10,000 worth of electronics in a Tuesday night carjacking outside a Columbus convenience store, reports state.

The 21-year-old man took a friend to the Magik Mart gas station, 5409 Reese Road, about 9 p.m. Tuesday for cigarettes. A suspect then approached the driver while the friend was inside the store and pointed a black 9 mm pistol at him, police said.

The suspect told the driver to get out of the car, which he did. The suspect then got inside the 2003 Dodge Neon and drove away, reports state.

Police say $10,210 worth of electronics was inside the car.

The carjacking is under investigation.
