Man busted for drugs while sitting under ‘No Loitering’ sign

A 17-year-old man was charged with drug offenses Tuesday morning after officers spotted him sitting under a “No Loitering” sign, reports state.

Justin J. Joseph is charged with possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute and possession of marijuana within 1,000 feet of a recreation center, police said.

According to reports, Joseph was sitting about 11:15 a.m. directly underneath a sign that forbids loitering at Brickwood Apartments, 1410 Talbotton Road. An officer spotted Joseph and ran his name through a state and national database, which revealed he had an outstanding warrant.

The officer then searched Joseph and found nine small bags of suspected marijuana worth $60, police said.
