Man accused of having pot plants in his apartment

Columbus police arrested a man Monday afternoon after finding four marijuana plants in his apartment, reports state.

Dwayne Scott, 24, is charged with manufacturing marijuana and possession of drug related items, police said.

According to reports, officers responded about 5 p.m. Monday to Scott’s Boxwood Boulevard home about suspected drug activity. An employee of the apartments let police inside Scott’s home, where they discovered a small marijuana plant growing in an aquarium.

Officers found three more plants growing in a blue flower pot on the apartment balcony, reports state.

Officers then contacted Scott, who was found with a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, police said.
