Columbus police: Two men arrested in shooting on Colorado Street

Columbus police have arrested two men in connection with a shooting that occurred on Colorado Street Tuesday evening.

Delarance Jones, 19, and Toronaldo Jones, 19, were arrested at around 6:15 p.m. and were each charged with four counts of aggravated assault.

The charges stem from a shooting in front of a house on Colorado Street Tuesday. A man was shot while sitting in a vehicle in front of the house just before 7:30 p.m., police said. He was transported to The Medical Center, where he underwent surgery for his injuries.

There were three other people inside the vehicle at the time of the incident, two women and a five-year-old child, but they were not injured, police said.

Delarance and Toronaldo Jones are scheduled to appear in Columbus Recorder's Court at 9 a.m. on Saturday, May 12.
