$3K in copper stolen from businesses’ A/C units

Thieves took $3,000 worth of copper last week from an air-conditioning unit serving two businesses, Columbus police said.

The theft happened between 11 p.m. Wednesday and 10 a.m. Thursday at Hong Kong Chinese Restaurant and Holly Hills Beauty Supply, two businesses at 3846 St. Marys Road, reports state.

According to police, someone got on the roof of the businesses, took apart the A/C unit and left with its copper coils.

Police list no suspect description. There have been no arrests.
