Columbus police arrested a man early Sunday on accusations he pointed a gun at a woman and pulled out part of her hair weave when she spurned his advances, reports state.
Cherish Van Howard, 51, is charged with disorderly conduct, police said.
According to reports, Howard made unwanted advances toward a woman at his Moline Avenue home. When she spurned his advances, he pointed a silver .22-caliber semiautomatic pistol in her face.
Howard then grabbed the woman’s hair and shirt, though she managed to get away and call police, reports state.
Officers arrived, and Howard denied the allegations. He let police search his home, which led to the discovery of part of the woman’s hair weave on his bed, police said.
Reports state the officers found no gun. Howard was then charged.
