Columbus police are investigating a shooting at apartments on Wynnton Road today.
Lt. Debra Bohannon said two men were shot at around noon today at 2000 Wynnton Apartments. Both men were taken to the hospital for treatment for non-life threatening wounds.
Bohannon described the suspect as a black man, standing about 5 foot 7 inches tall, with a medium to muscular build, in his mid-20s or early 30s. He had short hair and a beard with about three days' growth
Sherasse Moran, a resident at the apartments, said one of the men shot lived above her and was friends with her son. She heard him leave the apartment, she said, and a few moments later heard five gunshots.

"It sounded like a hammer," she said. When she heard sirens, she ran outside and saw the man being taken away by an ambulance. "He waved, I guess to tell us he was okay," she said. An entrance to the apartments a few doors down from Moran had blood spatters on the doorstep.
Moran said she didn't feel safe. "It's scary because it's so close to home," she said.
Another resident, Harvey Brown, said he stayed inside after he heard the gunshots and people screaming.
"I'm not feeling too safe right now," he said.
